Posted - 28/11/2003 : 13:05:33 Has anyone got a digital camera I could borrow for an hour or so? I want to get a photo of Hannah More Park and one of Hannah More School to add to the webpage explaining our name. We could also improve the Nailsea section with photos of a few local pubs, and ABB?

Posted - 01/12/2003 : 11:34:14 Yes I remember Runt's team grabbing the money, in spite of their inappropriate team name! I think we can blame the defeat on the fact that gents slept through the music, and those of us that were awake didn't have a clue anyway. Next weeks sunday cider photo tour includes the Black Horse, the Miners and the Blue Flame - any volunteers?!

Posted - 01/12/2003 : 10:33:27 We came 5th out of about 7 i think. I'm sure the reason for our below par performance was due to too many ciders for a couple of our members.
Last night it was Gents' turn for sleeping in the chair! in case you forgot the money was won aswell |

Posted - 01/12/2003 : 10:16:31 I cant really remember being there at all. However, i was woken up by a text message at about 4:30 telling me the names of 3 of the young ones, so i suspect this might have been a question. Did we come last?

Posted - 01/12/2003 : 09:59:19 It was hard work but we got some good photos of the local cider establishments. What a shame we had to sample all the products to get them though. I think it was also partly responsible for our below-par quiz performance last night, although I can't actually remember any of the questions.

Posted - 30/11/2003 : 12:48:55 The photo session will commence shortly, where we will be taking pictures of several Nailsea drinking areas and sampling a cider at each one. Give Gents or Jim a ring if interested in attending. CIDERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Posted - 28/11/2003 : 16:49:47 I've got one but obviously it won't be available for another weeks until I get home.
Don't worry about the photos being too big. That just means they're really good quality so I will be able to reduce them to an appropriate size without losing quality. As well, most if not all digital cameras have a resolution setting which affects the size of the photo, something around 1024 x 768 should be small enough but still a good quality.

Posted - 28/11/2003 : 15:03:43 As most of us are free tomorrow morning we could use it to do the racking of the cider and take a few photos for the website, and do a bit of work on it??
Jungle Jim will still be standing til the end! |

Posted - 28/11/2003 : 13:25:45 Yeah we should definately do that, it would be great to have some more Nailsea photos on there. I havent got a digital camera but i have got a disposal one at home that we could use and get the photos put on to a CD for about £3. The only person i know with a digital camera is Lord Lucan Senior, who has a really good one that we used on testing day, but the problem with this is that the pictures are about 40 times too big than the size we really want for the website! Its just too good.
Im thinking or getting one, maybe tomorrow morning if we dont have a meeting, then we could use that!
Ive also got a photo of Hannah More Park when Father Christmas landed there in a helicopter, Jungle Jim was still standing, and there is no Brabantia wall! It would be good to have this historic occasion on the site if we could scan it in!!
