Posted - 01/03/2004 : 16:19:20 Look who the Welsh are trying to claim for themselves!!!!:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/iconsofwales/
there are some that are more far-fetched then anyone we have ever claimed for Bristol, or claimed as a famous cider drinker even. Bunch of liars. I am upping the stakes by claiming God, Mother Teresa, Ronald Reagan and Kilroy as famous cider-drinkers tonight.
By the way, a very happy St Davids Day to all our Welsh forum members.

Posted - 02/03/2004 : 11:37:21 Sounds a good plan, we can then email a st georges greeting to everyone and get ourselves a few hits! I was thinking of incorporating the photo as a rough indicator of where Nailsea is ("Nailsea is on the right side of the bridge, in both senses")

Posted - 02/03/2004 : 10:40:53 How about St.George slaying a welsh dragon somewhere? Then we could ressurect the picture for St.Georges day next month?

I was going to stick some cannons on it as well, and maybe some planes, is that going a bit far????

All in favour of putting a proper link to this on the site?

Posted - 01/03/2004 : 17:39:37 The best ones are the questions like "What links The King to Wales?" Nothing! "Was the reggae superstar's father a resident of Wales?" NO!
Maybe we should pose similar questions with equally tenuous links! One's that no one can prove wrong would be good, like, "Was alexander the great a cider drinker?"
