To celebrate the brief return of forum members Barrel Smuggler and Chowie to Bristle from the US of A, Summer, cider, anything else anyone can think of, it has been decided that a cider crawl should take place in Bristol on 22nd July. We will be starting at the King William on King Street for food at around 1pm and the details of the onward route will be posted here once it has been decided.

Naturally, all cider drinkers (London based, Sheffield based, internationally based but no welsh) are welcome and any suggestions about possible venues would be good.

Be there or be gay

I wish it was all a bad dream. Is your mate speaking to you again? It was a day of lost friendships, phones, wallets, brain-cells and lots of pride!

Glad to see normal service resumed

Ah i may have been looking at the time of Ivanhoe's post when i wrote that, and not mine. I thought it seemed much longer than 2 hours... seemed more like a month.

Survived just about, the route was nothing like above but it was still the messiest cider-crawl in history.

Impossible to review it as i remember very little.

i take it you all survived? I was busy drinking beer in Corsica (Pietra - very nice) and I'm sure I was conspicuous in my absence...

Here is a quick idea I came up with for a route, it includes some sunny afternoon pubs, THREE ferry rides, a possible 12 different ciders, Wetherspoons, food-refuelling stops, suitable meeting place for the after-work-joiners and at least one potential fight stop:

12:45 King William
13:50 Ferry from Centre to…
14:10 Nova Scotia
15:00 Avon Packet
15:40 Coronation
16:20 Orchard
17:00 Ferry from SS Great Britain to…
17:10 The River
17:50 Ferry from Centre to…
18:05 The Mardyke
18:45 Hope & Anchor
19:30 Her Manos (on triangle)
20:15 Berkeley
21:00 Bunch of Grapes
21:45 Commercial Rooms
22:30 Horts
23:00 Arc Bar

What do you reckon?
