the stand, not the pub. City will be building a brand new 2 tier stand with 22 executive boxes in place of the legendary Wedlock stand by July 2006.

And he has said that he expects the East End to be open to home fans at least once more before the end of the season. There is also talk of trying to get Jacki down for an appearance on the pitch before the Luton game because he is in the country!

But the best news in my opinion today is that Dave Cotterill (our 17 year old striker who looks a great prospect) has signed a 2.5 year professional deal, turning down offers from Premier clubs. I think this is great news, even if he is Welsh and his mum has a burberry chav coat: http://www.bcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~599250,00.html

Sexstone says on City forum today that it will almost certainly be the home end, with away fans moved into the atyeo (presumably mainly the williams-side half).
He also said that whilst it is being built away fans will probably be in williams, using existing away turnstiles, so could be pretty tasty in there next season, particularly if the subbers decide not to move too far from their current seats.

It is being done mainly for the executive boxes. They are losing out big time on the corperate stuff so thats why they are pushing for it.The plans are already drawn up for the project and they are still unsure if it is going to be the away end or not. they have to consult with the police.

Hmm, I'm usually all for ground development, but:

- if we go up this season we will be left with a capacity of something like 13/14000 next season. Even if we don't I think we average more than that when we're on a decent run in current division.
- is it worth it for just 1000 extra seats? They say they often only have 3000 seats open in there now but that is because those seats aren't needed! Also assuming it remains at least partly the away end there will still have to be some empty seats for segregation.

But I suppose it has to be done sometime, and should be a good investment for the future. Hopefully it'll at least mean they let City fans back in the East End for a few games before they demolish it - I think there'll be huge fan pressure for that, so should be a cracking atmosphere for those games. Also hopefully they'll pay some attention to acoustics when designing this new stand, unlike the Atyeo stand.

I'd support a redevelopment of the pub definitely, making it easier to get to the bar!

Good news about Dinning I think.
