When will this man be dropped. He has one good game then 20 stinkers. Yet again he was at fault for goal. The man has no f*cking idea. Give gould a chance he cant be any worse.

When he says "people" at Ashton Gate making nasty comments, he has got to be talking specifically about Lord Lucan and his last volley of abuse - the whole ground heard that!

Don't be nasty to Phillips, it upsets him and he doesnt play so well. He says so himself in this interview on the city site today: http://www.bcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10327~643611,00.html

Bit of a chicken & egg situation I think - what came first - Phillips was crap or the fans have a go at him?

Cider's coming home...

I dunno, 3 years ago I thought he looked like a great prospect for his age, and once he got his distribution and catching sorted, and experience gave him better judgement and ability to command the area, he would be a fantastic player... Well, his kicking has improved, and when it comes to making saves I think he has just got better and better, but the rest of his game has got worse if anything. He can be having a storming game, and then let himself down by suddenly gifting the opposition a goal by doing something really stupid and needless - and its bloody FRUSTRATING!!!

If he could make better decisions about when to come and claim the ball or not, he would be a great player (i don't think that's slating him, thats just honestly what I see). Why he hasn't improved on this in 3 years, i just don't know, but we have definitely had a lack of competition for the keeper position in recent years which cant help at all. And you would think our coaches would work to sort out his obvious weaknesses, but there is no sign of improvement - maybe Stowell is a completely useless coach? He is unproven elsewhere.

Either way, although im not denying Phillips' saves have kept us in a lot of games this season, his mistakes have been costing us big as well, and at the moment id rather see a an all-round solid Div.2 goalie playing for us. It would be a lot less stressful for a start!
