I see Liverpoo are attempting to 'strenghten' their squad for next seasons assault on the UEFA cup by trying to sign that prolific striker Peter Crouch! Couple that with the silky skills of Zenden, and the defensive prowess of the Awesome Djimi Traore, and liverpoo really will have a squad to compete on all fronts next season!!!!

You can't use that excuse. Tottenham have had that trademarked for years now....

Liverpool's injury crisis this season, was the worst of any premiership team according to physioroom. I think that may have had an impact on us finishing 5th.
I'm fairly sure that if Alonso, and Cisse hadn't had broken bones, we would have been higher up the table.

Fourth place for a club like Everton is an achievement, and winning the champions league is also an achievement for liverpool.

Saying that you were concentrating on the Champions league, rather than the premiership is frankly a cop out for liverpool failing to catch Everton in fourth spot. I wonder if you'd be saying the same thing if milan had won on penalties!

I've just heard through my sources that Biscan has not been given a contract! I'm very sad now. IGOR IGOR IGOR

If you are saying 4th place is an achievement, then yes you didn’t so bad. Before you mention 5th place I have an answer to that – we were concentrating on winning the the European Cup and boy didn’t we concentrate!

I believe you toffee nosed bastards have a few of those foreigners too… Ar’tit’a, Pistone, Yobo etc etc etc (sorry my knowledge of s**te players is limited!).

Ships, you seem to have forgot that your squad of 'World Class' players didn't do to badly last season, so let wait and see what happens. Admittedly Gerrard and Alonso are good players, but Kewell, Biscan, Traore, Nunez...... They wouldn't grace the Memorial stadium, let alone the qualifying, or any other round of the Champions League!

Rob, Albert Luque and Joaquin; that's all you need, another couple of foreigners to dive and roll about the pitch whenever the ref is looking!

To be honest I can't wait for the following world class players to grace the qualifying rounds of the Champions League:

Stubbs
Weir
Beattie
Kilbane
Hibbert (t**t)
Carsley
The list is endless...

The English was poor in the last post i put on!

You do if you want to stand any chance of defending the trophy!

This is old news.

The latest is that Southampton have rejected a bid.

The Mighty Reds have been linked with loads of players, and there will no doubt be even more rumours.
I know for sure that Liverpool have enquired about SWP, Albert Luque and Joaquin.
Anyway, you don't need that many bigname players to be Champions of Europe!

To be fair, didn't Crouch score twice as manyas any Liverpool player. It's a bit of a come down from Raul though isn't it.
