As previously advised at our recent Club Presentation Evening, this coming Saturday, 20th May, the Grove Sports and Social Club will be holding a tribute event to our greatest Club servant, John Hobbs, who sadly passed away in July last year, after 60 years of dedicated service to our Club.

To celebrate the life of John and his extraordinary service to our Club and the Nailsea community, the Grove S&SC are going to name their Sports Bar after him. There will be an informal ceremony to commemorate the occasion and all Club players, members, friends and family are very welcome. The event will take place from 5.30 pm onwards, with a free buffet provided by the Grove for those of you who would like a bite to eat. So please come along and raise a glass to salute the great man and celebrate the occasion.

Spence
Club Chairman
