What is happening with new years eve then? Torquay was discussed some time back, but it seems people like to put ideas forward but have no bottle when it comes to implementing them. Radge & Robbie were arguing who was supposed to organise it on Sunday, but still nothing has been decided.
So, is this no longer a go-er? The longer it is left, the less likely the places would be filled, and its time someone attempted to organise it.

This is my prediction of what will happen:
- Everyone will say theyre up for it, even though some will have no intention of going at all. - One person (probably Stu) will get roped into organising it all. - A few people will pull out with crap excuses. - Almost everyone else pulls out because some of their mates arent going. - The remaining hardcore have become so disheartened with the situation that they don't bother going. - We go up the Ringers.
Why don't we save the trouble this year and just get our Ringers tickets now?

I thought the Torquay NYE trip was going to be Rob losing his organising cherry?! I'm planning to be in London for a party and then Big Ben at midnight - anyone who fancies that is welcome to come along - not much organising required!

Ridgey didn't even know that Jim was going to London, so that may change his mind.
I wouldn't say i have a strong preference of what to do for New Years Eve as it normally ends up an anti climax so i am still open to offers on what to do.
Another problem is that there are a fair few people working on New Years Eve which makes things more difficult.
We need to try and get everyone together to have a chat about it. |

Good thinking Rob, because that really is going to happen.
Gentle's right, we may as well concede now, and this is proven by the point Neil though the Jungle man was going to Torquay. Bottler!

Everyone,
I have a new venue for New Years Eve... Shippers has invited us all to his new flat for a booze up starting at 7pm.

It probably proves more that Neil doesn't listen to anything I tell him!
I hear Waller's got some top tunes lined up for this year's Disco...enjoy!!

I agree that New Year's is always an anti climax but that's probably because nothing interesting ever happens.
There are 2 main reasons for this: bottling, and postcodephobia.
If New Years is going to be good we need to organise something now and people need to commit now. Otherwise Ringers it is again.
Why don't we fly to Edinburgh, get bolluxed and abuse some celts? Or go somewhere random like Swindon!

We had a plan like this a couple of years ago - we put a load of random places in a hat and then pulled out where we were going for a weekend. Unfortunately I think it was Milton Keynes that got pulled out, and surprisingly we never went. I think we then went for the 2nd choice, which turned out to be the Glasshouse.

I'm not going to London any more... what's the latest plans? Has Robbie booked Torquay yet, or is everyone going with the Swindon idea?

Matty Parsons sent me an e-mail the other day saying that there's a school disco at the millenium stadium. Could be worth a shout

Im currently checking if we need to get tickets for any Torquay venues, and Radge will be looking at sorting hotels Sunday. First come first served. |

Presume the Torquay idea's now dead then? I think I'm now going to the School Disco at the Millenium Stadium, including the world's biggest bar (so they claim). Anyone fancy a riot?? I'm hoping to get them all singing Swing Low Sweet Chariot at midnight - it'll be a brave attempt and I'm confident of success!
