Track 7 on the Franz Ferdinand album could be added to the Fire compilation soundtrack.
Aptly title "this fire" the lyrics go a little something like;
There is a fire in me
fire that burns
fire that burns
This fire is out of control
im going to burn this city
burn this city
Any news on a fiuture release? |

It was already shortlisted when i saw it on the album, havent actually heard it yet.
Another soon to be added is called start a fire by radio four. Apparently its about aids, but the chorus goes "somebody needs to start a fire here", so that'll do.

We thought of a few last night including "This Fire" (a modern day fire classic), but i seem to have forgotten them all now, hopefully Jim will remember.
Ive been inspired by a firey weekend, seeing Ash play Burn Baby Burn last night, and Brian Wilson play "Fire" on sunday complete with an orchestra wearing firemans helmets and a light show of flames! We need him at Glastonbury!

Sorry to say zider gentz but if I remember correctly there is no way you saw ash play burn baby burn...you had long gone by then!!!

Work has begun on this year's fire album, at the moment I'm confident of reaching or maybe bettering last year's effort.
One track I've been unsuccessfully trying to get hold of is "Start a Fire" by Radio 4, does anyone have a copy of this (its on their album "Gotham") or can you find it on a file-sharing network? (its not on Imesh) There is also a re-mix out fairly recently, I think by Darren Emerson, which would also be good as it repeats the main lyrics quite a lot!!
Of course all suggestions for tracks gratefully received. Will stick on the tracklisting so far later.
