Its all part of the "big brother" thing - write anything about tony and smashface and it'll disappear, call tony french and all your posts disappear, and generally write anything that smithy disagrees with and he edits it. I've now decided to delete any of my posts that get edited, although I am also in touch with my lawyers about the legal side of this. And if you create 10 new users, named smashface 1 to smashface 10, then they all get deleted too.
I think we should have a re-consideration of Tony's admin rights - we need to be able to get rid of potentially libellous posts, and to move things into the general chat forum, but until we have about 1000 we dont need to delete any users, made up or otherwise, and i think posts should either be deleted or kept, no editing. I would start another petition about this but it'll just get removed like the one last night!

Right...you are all a bunch of tuckers....
1) I do not edit swear words - The forum does that automatically.
2) As you said we need to delete anything libellous, and as the stuff you are saying about me is libellous, i can delete it!. (your words not mine)
3) What is the point of setting up 100's of fake users. Was the idea not to see how many REAL people we could attract to the site?

we know how many users we can get - 11, so lets make a few more up to make the forum look more popular.
is there a way so that it at least shows up when your posts have been edited? but don't edit any more or I will get some super hackers to turn this whole site into smashface.com

Once we publicise the website to more people we can get more members signed up, but its not much point doing this until:
- we get more exciting stuff on the site, such as the photos from last weekend, as the more impressive the site looks- the more likely people will come back after visiting once.
- a few of us get the software and access to update the site ourselves so we can stop annoying Will everytime we want to put something else on it, and just put on our work ourselves as soon as we do it.
- we move all the crap thats been going on the "i love cider" forum lately to the "nailsea chat" one, and only discuss cider on the cider forum. If we can get the people on the uk-cider mailing list to use our cider forum to discuss things, instead our their circular emails (no reason why they won't do this, as it will be much more convenient for them) - we can get 200 more regular members. Its no point emailing them currently though, cos if they took one look at the forum and saw what we were currently discussing they arent likely to ever come back.
Lets get these 3 points sorted in the next few weeks and then go on a recruitment drive - emailing all our mates, the 200 uk-cider list users, the wurzels mailing list, various websites to try and get them to link to us, etc. Then the visitors will come rolling in!

Sounds a good plan - I think there will still be about 8 of the 50 topics left when the non-cider ones go!
If we're to expand the site to cover other things we're interested in, vaguely linked to cider, e.g. city, glastonbury, fire etc we should also have forums for those - the thinking here being the more stuff we have on (cider or otherwise) the more people will look and find us on searches etc.
Would it be an idea to set up a private "directors only" forum that we could just abuse each other on without it being viewed by others?
Still confused by the censoring of "ch1nese" into chinky, which is surely a more offensive word!

In response to James posting, and for the record, i would like to add that i do NOT have a grilfriend.
As for showing respect, the reference was towards myself, show ME some respect.
As for swearing on the forums, i think its good taste to avoid it if we are wanting to run this website as professionally as possible.
In response to Gentle's mail, i think we do need a couple more people with access to it (Gentz & Jim) so that we do not have to keep bothering Will, and so we can get items updated quicker. However, i think Tone should still monitor the postings as he has done a good job thus far, and it is important things do not get too stupid.
