Brian Tinnion speaks...

"Darren Caskey has not been able to reach the sort of fitness level we require"

A couple of points from me (Caskey's No.1 fan):

1. Tinnion has looked less than fit the last couple of seasons and he still plays?
2. Are City not planning on training anymore?
3. Is it because they can't afford him and prefer buying for the future in division 2!
4. City wouldn't know talent if it slapped them in the face.

Two more words to sum it all up... Thats Sh1te.

1. Tinnion is the manager! He also hasn't played every game, and nowadays rarely completes a game when he does start. Also although past his best fitness-wise, he is rarely actually injured, which I think is as much a problem for Caskey as his evident love of kebabs.
2. If he couldn't get himself fit for this, potentially his last chance as a pro-footballer, having had all summer to do so, is there realistically any hope of him getting any fitter?
3. Hopefully we'll never have to play in the gas-inhabited Division 2 now. City have some money spare after missing out on McLean, but I think Lansdown will want to see it invested wisely. But for Caskey I think even DIvision 2 might be a struggle, and he would do better to be a big (very big) fish in a small pond somewhere in the Conference.
4. The future is bright, the future is Steven Gillespie and Joe Anyinsah!

You cant really think that Caskey deserved a contract on that performance do u ships?

He looked slow and very fat, fair enough he put a few good passes in but he did not look the player he once was.....

They need youth and speed at city!....

If city played doc martins teams every week, then yeah Caskey would be brilliant. Unfortunately, they don't and we won't have the luxury of winning away games 9-1 all season! He looked fat and slow, and not actually that good on the ball, I think you would find that if Tinman had played himself in the middle, he would've pulled off a similar if not better display.
