Yes - Back where we belong. Bit harsh that it is only in the first round and not the third but i suppose we can make some money for some unknown side from Eastern Europe like Everton.

I think it's quite funny that Evertone are getting stitched by Liverpool again as all the money is being split 5 ways now (although Liverpool are getting less). Mind you that would only be the case if Evertone qualify, which isn't guaranteed!

Some interesting points made!
On the whole I think the decision was fair. However, if it means the other English clubs getting less money then i think it is a problem.
To be honest the toffee nosed bastards were going to whinge at any decision in favor of Liverpool. The blue and white s**te still think the reason they are still a small club and never win anything is all down to Liverpool!!!

I think as a gesture, Liverpool should give up their right to group stage money. To be honest it's not really fair that they steal it off other teams and it will show that they're not just in it for the money. At the moment they're already embarrassing the country again by crying about the World Club Championship.
Someone needs to tell Parry and his board of idiots that you can't pick and choose what you want from Europe. You either win and take all that comes with it, or don't bother entering in the first place.

| Steady on their Ships!! Everton aren't the club they once were, because of our lack of success over the Last ten years. Any honest fan will admit that. Liverpool on the other hand have had some degree of success over the years, enough so that you can argue that they are now a larger club than Everton. The point I've tried to make on many occasions tho, is that Liverpool are miles away from being the best club in this country, let alone in europe, but lots of liverpool fans are unable to admit this. Yeah the won the champions league, but they were 30 odd points behind Chelsea in the premiership. Until they can do consistantly well in the league, AND europe (Like Man U & Chelsea) they can't claim to be a large club. |
